  This is the late version of the Italieri kit of the German Elefant tank during WW II.  This tank was also called the Tiger P.  These tanks first saw combat in the battle of Kursk in Russia (the larges tank battle of all time until Desert Storm).  After receiving heavy losses from Russian infantry, a machinegun was added to the radioman's position (see fig 5) then shipped off to Italy.    Figure 2 shows the suspension as it bends over the railroad track (due to the massive weight of the vehicle).  This was done by drilling a hole through the base of the diorama, through the bottom of the tank, and pulling it down tight by using a screw and wing nut.
